Use Custom / MSStyles Themes In Windows 7 | UxTheme Patch for Windows 7

Windows 7 beta is finally released from microsoft by default windows 7 already provide some themes bundled with the new release of windows 7 Beta.

But as you may get bored with the default themes in windows 7 you can try lot more new themes, sidebar gadgets and wallpapers on this official link form Microsoft.

All these themes, wallpapers and gadgets are from Microsoft which are digitally signed but what if you want to install a custom designed theme just like you do in windows xp.

In Windows XP and Vista you can install custom or MSStyles themes by patching Uxtheme.dll (theme manager) by UxTheme Patcher for Vista SP1 and XP SP2.

Similarly you can use UxTheme Patcher for Windows 7 which allows you to patch Uxtheme.dll and two other related files which you will need to patch to install cool looking custom or MSStyles themes in windows 7.

Desktops is FREE utlity which allows you organise your applications in between four multiple desktops, this is the first virtual desktop tool released my Microsoft.

Desktops uses separate windows desktop objects for each virtual desktop and easy switching in between them with easy shortcuts key you define at the time of launching the application.

If you have not defined any shortcuts for these virtual desktops then by default you can switch in between the desktop by pressing alt+1 for the first desktop, alt+2 for the second desktop and so on till the 4th desktop.

Delete / Replace System Files in Windows

It happens some times when some of the windows system files got corrupted with time due to various reasons.

If you want to delete a system file in Windows XP you may be able to do it easily just by renaming the system file and just refresh the folder view. After refresh windows XP will create the missing file automatically or otherwise you will need to close and reopen the explorer window for that folder.

But In Windows Vista you can delete or replace a system files, even with administrative privileges. The default windows service called TrustedInstaller protects all the system files by default which will keep protecting the system files and prevent it from getting overwritten.

Windows 7: Hide Action Center Notification Messages (For Geeks)

This would be my first post on windows 7, I have just installed windows 7 beta after downloading it with in 2 days at my patehic internet speed, After downloading I managed to burn the DVD with my laptop DVD writer and then made my Old Dvd Writer on the desktop to read the dvd any how. But now I am happy as I am writing my first post about Windows 7 from Windows 7 itself.

According to me Windows 7 seems to be an upgraded version of windows vista till now with some cool improvements and some buggy improvements including the Action Center which was previously known as  Security Center in Vista and XP.

Action Center is again a useful feature for windows 7 users which alerts you about the pending actions form your side after installing windows 7.

When I first noticed Action Center I was assuming that it would be some intelligent component embedded in Windows 7 this time which may be alerting you about the pending drivers you need to install in windows but very soon I realize that it is another Security Center type thing. It may be useful for layman people but not at all usefull for geeks.
