Speed Up Downloading In FireFox With Fire Download

I am a firefox lover because I use Firefox more than any other browser, but downloading speed normal in firefox is really slow, as if you download the same set of file through a download manager will download the same set of file with in lesser amount of time with much greater transfer rate.

But don’t worry as you can simply achieve the same download speed as you can with any download manager like Internet Download Manager with a small firefox add-on called FireDownlaod.

Get Santa Hat On Twitter Avtar Picture

I was just browsing some way to get a Santa Hat on my twitter profile, then I tweeted about the same and some of my followers told me to do some picture editing with two pictures one is my twitter avtar picture and second is the santa hat picture.

But Frankly I don’t know how to use some good tools they suggested like Photoshop, even i tried in Microsoft Paint but was not able to do it, then I started searching about how to get santa hat on my twitter avtar profile pic.

After some searching I came to know about some free web service called Twixenate ~ Twitter Profile Picture Editor which helped me to put santa hat on my twitter avatar pic.

Lock Internet Explorer – Stop Internet Explorer From Running

Yesterday, I found this amazing tweaking software called IeClose 2.0 a FREE small program which lets you lock your Internet Explorer and prevent it from running.

You can also create a startup key so that IeClose runs automatically on windows startup, so that no one other than you open internet explorer and use it 😛

Configure Wi Fi In Ubuntu Intrepid Ibex With Broadcom Network Adapter

Recently, I installed Ubuntu Intrepid Ibex on my hp laptop – tx1000 but after installing ubuntu the first problem I faced was how to configure wi fi in Ubuntu Intrepid Ibex.

I searched a lot on google and tweeted the same on twitter and asked my followers then got some awesome results from my friends on twitter with some amazing links which almost solved my problem, and finally i was able to configure wireless in ubuntu with broadcom wireless adapter.

Wireless configuration on ubuntu depends on the wireless network adapter you have,  In my case it was broadcom network adapter.

Stop Display Brightness Goes Dim In Ubuntu On Battery

After installing ubuntu desktop edition on my hp laptop with vista in a dual boot configuration, I faced all these problems like configuring wireless on ubuntu with broadcom and then how to install my favorite twitter client – tweetdeck on ubuntu.

After solving all these problem I noticed a quite different problem which relates with the display of my laptop screen which goes dim or brightness decreases to a great level if I run ubuntu on bettery. But when I run ubuntu on charger it runs with approprite brightness.

After some play around in ubuntu I was able to fix the display brightness getting dim on battery, lets see how I fixed this problem

Watch YouTube Videos Wide Screen In Your Browser

Recently, Rohit – a friend of mine, also a troublefixer with me on troublefixers.com – ( we solve computer problems here ) send me a link to a youtube video to me on twitter

The youtube video was of A R Rahman Latest Album song – Jiya Se Jiya featuring free hugs by people. When he sent the link to the video he made a mistake in copying the URL of the youtube video which turned out be a trick all credit goes to him for the trick. Let discuss what did he changed in the youtube URL.

When ever you view a video on your browser the URL which you notice in the address bar will of the following format

http://in.youtube.com/watch?v=zf_muP0z5w0

If you paste this URL you will land up on youtube website with will load up the video in the small rectangle frame and other area filled up with the suggested videos and other information, but what if you want to view the video only.

Backup Offline Installers For All Windows Live Essentials Beta Programs After Download

Recently, Microsoft released all the programs under their windows live essentials beta pack. Windows Live essentials beta pack includes a variety of programs which lets you do various things

The programs which are included in windows live essentials beta pack are:

  • Windows Live Messenger
  • Windows Mail
  • Windows Live Writer
  • Windows Live Photo Gallery
  • Silverlight
  • Windows Movie Maker Beta
  • Family Safety
  • Windows Live Toolbar For Internet Explorer

When ever you want to download any of these programs who will need to first download a single web installer called wlsetup-web_2.exe which runs an installation wizard in which you can select which programs you need to install.

This small web installer actually download the offline installer which can be backed up and install programs on another computers which does need to be connected to internet in order to install these programs.

We will tell you how can you backup the downloaded installers for the specific programs from the system hidden folders after using web installer for installing these programs once.

Download Windows Live Essentials Pack Beta Full Setup [ Offline Installer ]

Microsoft has recently released Windows Live Pack Beta which includes Windows Live Messenger, Mail, Photo Gallery, Movie Maker, Live Toolbar, Windows Live Writer and Silver light.

The Windows Live Pack which you download from download.live.com will provide a web installer file wlsetup-web_2.exe to install all the above mentioned programs which will require your computer to be connected to internet in order to install these applications in windows live pack.

Windows Live Pack Web installer will download around 134 MB if you select all the applications But, if you want to install the same set of applications on another computer you will need to download the same amount of data again from internet and as it requires internet the second computer must be connected to internet.

Let’s see how can you install all these applications on various computer without downloading again and again on different computers
