This would be my first post on windows 7, I have just installed windows 7 beta after downloading it with in 2 days at my patehic internet speed, After downloading I managed to burn the DVD with my laptop DVD writer and then made my Old Dvd Writer on the desktop to read the dvd any how. But now I am happy as I am writing my first post about Windows 7 from Windows 7 itself.

According to me Windows 7 seems to be an upgraded version of windows vista till now with some cool improvements and some buggy improvements including the Action Center which was previously known asÂ Security Center in Vista and XP.

Action Center is again a useful feature for windows 7 users which alerts you about the pending actions form your side after installing windows 7.

When I first noticed Action Center I was assuming that it would be some intelligent component embedded in Windows 7 this time which may be alerting you about the pending drivers you need to install in windows but very soon I realize that it is another Security Center type thing. It may be useful for layman people but not at all usefull for geeks.

Ejection of CD or DVD some times becomes tiring action as you need to physically press the button on the CD/DVD writer or reader to open the tray and then to close the tray also in some of the CD/DVD writer or reader.

Today, We will tell you how can you create shortcuts to eject and close the CD/DVD Tray and we will also share some FREE utilities which do the eject and close the CD/DVD Tray any time.

By Default Windows vista allows you to easily eject the CD/DVD Drive by right clicking the CD/DVD drive and select Eject in the context menu. But there is no Close Tray option to close the CD/DVD tray. But you add the option to close the tray using CloseTray.

In order to add the option Close Tray in the right click context menu follow the procedure given below.

1. Download closetray.zip and extract it.

2. Double-click closetray.reg to add it to registry.

Note: It may require restart for the settings to come into effect

If you want to create desktop shortcut to eject or close CD/DVD drive tray then there are hell lot of ways to do that.

I was trying to get the quickest way through which i can open my favourite folders and programs through run prompt, you must be wondering why I shouldÂ rather make desktop shortcuts for those programs and folder and place them directly on the desktop and access them quickly.

But I donâ€™t want flood my desktop with more shortcuts as I want it to be as clean as possible. So, I thought of accessing these folders and files with some alias names like through run prompt.

1. d for open C:\Downloads directory

2. a to open C:\abhi directory

3. i to launch iTunes program

and so on.

Finally after some googling and hit and trails I was successful to access any of my favourite program or directory with alias names as commands through run prompt directly.
