This small tool can be at different path depending on the Microsoft Outlook version you are using.
In Outlook XP, 2003 – Scanpst.exe will be found at the following path
C:\Program Files\Common Files\System\MSMAPI\LocaleID
In Outlook 2007 – Scanpst.exe will be found at the following path
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE12Now
(assuming C drive is where your OS is installed)
After you run this tool you will first need to browse the corrupted .pst file to repair.
Inbox Repair Tool will first scan your corrupted .pst file for errors
If the .pst file can be recovered, you will see the repairable errors after the scan and you can recover a new .pst file by clicking repair button.
