I must say windows is becoming more venerable to various attacks day by day, I am saying this because apart from being a author at TechnixUpdate.com, I am also one of the troublefixer at TroubleFixers.com – All about fixing computer troubles   

A normal way out to restore some damage on your system is using windows system restore, but if you try to create system restore it will run a wizard which will require time.

Yesterday, I found a cool utility called Single Click Restore Point – SCRP which lets you create a restore point with a single click on your windows system and require zero configuration from the user side.

Let’s see how can we use SCRP tool.

Most of use computers in such an environment that sometime when we leave our computer ideal, we need to make sure that it is locked.

I have seen people normally by press three keys Ctrl+Alt+Del altogether and then press Lock Computer button.

So, locking a computer will require both of your hands on the keyboard (shown in the image below) although some people can do it with one hand only. 

Another shortcut in windows to lock your workstation is by pressing window key + L key which is much faster than the previous one.

If you ever want to transfer some very confidential data of yours, you can do it so smartly with a freeware SteganoG which lets you hide any kind of data in images.

What is SteganoG?

SteganoG stores confidential data of all types into a bitmap image apparently remains unchanged. It is provides a powerful compression and image quality will also allow you to store large amounts of data.

As seen in the screenshot above you need to browse the bitmap image file and also locate the data file to hide and click the Hide button.

You may have felt the need sometime to minimize an application in windows to system tray to save some space on your taskbar, but you can’t as there is no option in windows to minimize any open application in windows to do it.

It replaces your normal safely remove functionality of windows with the cool green coloured icon in the system tray (Highlighted in the image below).

There are so many useless windows process which keep on running in the background and consume your already slow computer resources and CPU usage.

One such windows process is Ctfmon.exe is one of them which always kept running in the background and using cpu all the time, although it does not consume so much of resources but most of the time ctfmon is useless for a user using windows.

What is Ctfmon ?

Ctfmon.exe is Alternative User Input Text Input Processor for Office. It activates the Microsoft Office Language Bar and the Alternative User Input Text Input Processor.

Let’s see how can we remove it with ctfmon-remover.

It occurs sometimes when you may like to add a program to your start up by dragging the program shortcut in All Programs >> Startup

But there is more better way to do it,  which could save your time and make it simple. (as seen in the image below)

Yes, you can add a shortcut to your startup folder in the send to menu, and when you want to add any program to startup with windows startup, you can right click on the program shortcut and select Startup.
